Black Lion Workshops: Paint Your Own Candlestick Holder

Overview

Led by Freya Marton, founder of Blacklion Workshops, the session begins with an overview of decorative design and painting techniques. This covers elements including the history of art, design movements and colour theory.

Taking inspiration from the themes and techniques discussed, participants will then be guided through a practical, hands-on studio session to create a decorative candle holder.

At the conclusion of the workshop, all participants will leave with their own uniquely painted candle holder, a coloured candle to place within it and a Blacklion Workshops tote bag.

This workshop features a practical painting component; we encourage guests to dress in clothing suitable for creative work.

Events at the Atmosfloric Emporium take place in the Gallery, a dedicated space for ideas and discovery. Please note, the bathroom is located on a lower level and accessible only by stairs, which may limit access for some attendees.

Freya Marton is an artist and designer based in Richmond, London, and the founder of Black Lion Workshops, where she makes hand-painted lamps, furniture and murals.
