Sean A. Pritchard is a multi-disciplinary designer and author based between London and Somerset. Working across gardens, flowers, interiors and visual communication, his practice explores the dialogue between the natural world and contemporary culture.

Prior to establishing his studio, Sean trained in garden design — graduating with Distinction from The Garden Design School, Bristol — and spent over a decade in magazine publishing at Country Life and Wallpaper*.

He is the author of Outside In and Atmosfloric, published internationally by Mitchell Beazley, which together examine his long-standing fascination with the relationships between colour, flowers and interior spaces. In 2025 and 2026, Sean designed the ODD Pavilion at RHS Chelsea, and in 2022 created the Macmillan Cancer Research Legacy Garden at RHS Hampton Court.

In the winter of 2026, Sean opened the Atmosfloric Emporium on Great Portland Street in central London — a seasonal retail and events concept bringing together makers, artists and brands from around the world.

“Where our lives have become ordered and routine, an escape is found in nature's wonderful chaos.” — Atmosfloric, 2026

Outside In · Atmosfloric — both covers side by side

Sean is the author of Outside In and Atmosfloric, both published internationally by Mitchell Beazley.

Tracing the garden through the seasons, Outside In (2024) considers the decorative potential of bringing garden flowers into the home.

Praise for Outside In:

'I devoured this sumptuously British step-by-gorgeous-step guide to when to seed, plant and pluck in a single sitting.' - Richard E. Grant

'Outside In: A Year of Growing & Displaying is that rare thing - the most ridiculously beautiful coffee-table book that is also a mine of useful information when it comes to what to grow when for year-round cut flowers. His interiors aren't too shabby, either.' - India Knight

'Inventive, considered, and thoughtful design.' - House & Garden

'Atmosfloric is an absolute feast! Not only totally beguiling and full of practical insights but it opens the doors on some of England and France's most beautiful places.' Sophie Conran

'All hail Sean Pritchard! His displays are full of wit, stunning colour, singular authenticity - and just damn joyous.' Joely Richardson

'I wish I could do the flowers like Sean does. Like all good artists he makes it seem effortless and easy - but the beauty and spontaneity he conjures is grounded in his intelligent study of how colour theory works - and this new manual for flowers is his testimony to us. If you use it properly it is bound to be transformative.' Ruth Guilding, The Bible of British Taste
